I use color primarily to create contrast; for this reason, I limit myself to one or two pigments when painting.
I consider the contour line to play a central role in defining form. The contour itself can function as a key element that establishes the visual structure. Color, in this context, serves to reveal and articulate the contour. As color is reduced, the contour becomes more distinct. Even with only one or two colors, the contour can foreground the corporeality of form.

윤곽선을 형태를 정의하는 데 중심적인 역할을 한다고 생각한다. 윤곽 자체로 시각적 구조를 형성하는 핵심 요소가 될 수 있다. 색은 이 윤곽선을 드러내는 역할을 하게 된다. 색이 최소화될수록 윤곽선이 명확해진다. 한 개 또는 두 개의 색만으로도 윤곽을 통해 형태의 신체성을 부각할 수 있다.
